I first met Fabian and his close friend Steve on a back road in eastern Kansas in 2003 as we were both rookie chasers at the time. We decided to meet up the next year for a week long chase. In 2004, Fabian came from Chicago, and Damon Shaw came in from Arkansas to meet me in Missouri. During the week, covering 9 states, we ran into several veteran stormchasers including good friend Dan Robinson and many others.

Fabian was a very enthusiastic chaser and had tremendous support from his family. Our prayers go out to his wife and children.We will miss his smile out on the great plains.
